Our Club's WorkSpace

Our club is located at 20948-A Corsair Blvd in Hayward, just west of the Hayward airport. (See Map Below) The Mineral & Gem Society of Castro valley has one of the most well-equiped lapidary clubs in Northern California. At our workshop, one can practice nearly all of the lapidary and jewelry arts after you sign up and pay yearly dues. Due to limited resources, sawing is limited to standard lapidary saw cuts such as slabbing, sphere blanks and face cutting only. We can not accept special requests.We are a non-profit educational club and can not allow use of our equipment and workshop for the purposes of a personal business or production of sales.

Please inquire about classes after you have completed your first cabochon. Some of the classes have a fee to cover material costs, but our instructors are all volunteers and are not paid. If a fee is charged then it should be collected to cover supplies only. Take a tour of our workshop below.
